Who is Liz Webb?

I am a professional, hardworking, dedicated self starter. My work ethic and concern will be a match that will take you from home shopping to move in with as little work on your part as possible. Knowledge of the area, education of our industry and a personal caring and concern of your needs makes me the perfect choice to be your Realtor. Whether buying or selling I have the experience, dedication and marketing background to help you sell your home quickly or find a home that will fit your needs. I'm not the biggest realtor in the area, but my specialty is in building a personalized professional relationship with all of my buyers and sellers. My success is not in the numbers of clients I help, but rather in the quality and care by which I treat each one.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fort Lewis College in 1992. (Yes, our home town college, although I began at the University of Arizona in Tucson.) I became a licensed Broker Associate in January of 2000 and have continued my pursuit of education in the real estate world by completing my Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) in January of 2002 and became a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) in June of 2005. I'm sure you are always wondering what all those initials after Realtors name means, so I thought I would educate you as well! Each designation was earned after 80-90 hours of classroom work and testing. Classes range from real estate law, to contracts, to listings, to marketing and a whole lot more. The CRS designation also allows me to join a world wide network of professional Realtors that have earned the designation and provides a referral network that can't be duplicated in our industry.

Currently I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Colorado Association of Realtors and the Durango Area Association of Realtors. I am a former Board of Directors member of Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County and have sat on many committees with the organization for the past four years. I will be heading up a new fundraising campaign for the organization this fall as I continue my affiliation with this organization that changes lives for the better starting with home ownership.

Moving on, these are the highlights of my former careers. I was a former owner in two car washes in Pagosa Springs, former Teller and Proof Supervisor with Wells Fargo Bank ( Norwest Bank back then), a ski store owner in Pagosa Springs, and a long, long time ago, a former Hallmark Store Manager back in Show Low, Arizona. As you can see, I can tackle just about anything!

As far as my personal life is concerned, I am happily married to my husband Martyn and have two step-daughters, Jenni and Amie. I love the mountains, dogs (have three), hiking and reading. I love to decorate and landscape and enjoy the magnificent area in which I have chosen to call home. When I get my decorating bug out of my system, I will return to my painting and drawing again. My art degree has helped me in my real estate career by allowing me to see solutions to problem homes or just lending a hand to a friend on color selections or furniture placement.
